Hi! I’m Katherine, and I currently live in Indialantic, FL. I grew up in St. Augustine and attended Florida State University, graduating with a BA in Editing, Writing, and Media in 2013. While at FSU, I volunteered on public relations committees for organizations like Dance Marathon, completed two internships with marketing companies, and studied abroad in Australia. Shortly after graduating, I followed my passion for traveling and accepted a position as a trainee flight attendant with American Airlines.
In 2020, I was furloughed, and although it was unsettling, it gave me time to consider what else I was passionate about.
I’ve always loved graphic design, as well as math and problem solving, so web development seemed like a great path for me. I completed the Intro to Web Development Program with Palm Beach Code School in February of 2021, and have been working on improving my coding skills ever since.
I also joined Beach Bucket Foundation as the Palm Beach County Cleanup Coordinator in the spring of 2021, which has allowed me to connect with others who share my passion for keeping our local parks and beaches clean.
When I’m not flying, coding, or planning beach cleanups, I enjoy surfing, swimming, cooking, and taking my puppy, Lita, with me everywhere I go.
